Course Description

Portraiture 1 | Learn basic concepts and techniques associated with drawing and painting portraits. Work from a model to develop and refine skills. Study anatomical structure of the head and upper torso, facial features, capturing a likeness, and composition. $442 includes $70 fee.

Learner Outcomes

Identify and describe organic form using 3-D geometric shapes; Identify and draw basic planes of the head and upper torso; Demonstrate separating light and shade in a fully rendered drawing; Discuss how anatomy affects the form; Recognize and apply rhythmic relationships into drawing.
