Discuss what a project is, the managers role, project life cycle, who the key players in the project are, how to prioritize competing projects, and gathering information for the project; Identify ways to be more efficient in the conceptual phase of project management by creating a vision statement, setting goals, creating a target chart, statement of work, and a planning worksheet; Examine how to identify the tasks necessary for the project and the needed resources, as well as risks and constraints and how to manage them; Apply ways to manage changes as the project is executed, identify tools required to track progress, and how to set up a status meeting and close out the project.
