Course Description
Foundations of Floral Design: Part 2 | Practice design styles. Apply the elements and principles of design while discovering advanced techniques, foliage manipulation and mechanics for floral compositions. Take home at least one arrangement each session. $545+ includes $235 fee. Note: FLR-343 Foundations of Floral Design and FLR-351 Floral Design: Principles of Design are required or instructor permission. Floral knife or sharp pocketknife, pruning shears, wire cutters and ribbon scissors are required. Bring a box to carry home arrangements.
Learner Outcomes
Identify and demonstrate application of at least 2 advanced design styles and 2 advanced design techniques; Explain requirement fathering process, analysis of requirements and planning for construction of advanced design styles; Identify advanced construction mechanics, determine when each is appropriate based on design requirements and demonstrate proper execution of the mechanic; Discuss principles of proportion and scale, balance, color harmony, and contrast as applied to flower arranging; Describe techniques to create focal emphasis and to create movement in floral compositions; Demonstrate at least 2 foliage manipulation techniques and identify ways to incorporate them into floral compositions.Loading...
