Course Description

Beginning French: Level 2 | Continue to build upon elements of grammar, reading pronunciation and writing. Gain confidence by engaging in listening comprehension and speaking in complex dialogues in French. Actively participate in language-immersion to increase both comprehension and fluency. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.

Learner Outcomes

Practice thirty new vocabulary words and develop basic reading and verbal skills; Demonstrate comprehension and oral proficiency of level appropriate French through small group complex discussions; Identify and use three interrogatives in sentences and expand upon listening and comprehension skills; Review the study of grammar, verb conjugations, and cite two structural elements of the French language; Implement using ten vocabulary words in a simple question and answer session through recitation and conversation.
