Course Description

Creating Year-round Interest in Your Garden | Examine the key elements of garden design. Learn the best selections to create a plan for a new or existing garden that shines in every season. $23 includes $22 fee. Note: Requires membership in Peer Learning Partnership (PLP). Biannual membership is $30.

Learner Outcomes

Evaluate key elements of garden design and choices of perennials, bulbs, shrubs and trees.

Apply the principle of the 70:30 ratio of native to introduced plants to create an ecologically appropriate garden for both beauty and wildlife.

Investigate the integration of native plants into gardens that are adapted to the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.
