Course Description

Carpentry | Learn basic woodworking skills and tool safety. Practice using electrical tools including table saws, circular saws, routers, drills, power sanders and jigsaws. Construct a medium to large wood project. $295+ includes $90 fee. Note: Students must wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.

Learner Outcomes

Demonstrate an understanding of different building materials; Discuss safety precautions and protective equipment; Demonstrate the proper use of hand and power tools; Master the skills needed to measure and estimate the required materials needed for a wood project; Construct a medium to large wood project.
