Course Description

iPhone Intermediate: A Confidence Builder for Senior Adults | This hands-on course enables seniors already comfortable using their iPhones to unlock more of its abilities. Discover new features, explore practical apps and advanced tools, and gain real-world tips to make everyday tasks easier. Note: Senior Cycle class. Students must be 55 or older by start date to enroll.

Learner Outcomes

Examine and adjust essential settings, organize the layout of the Home Screen, utilize widgets and the App Library, and identify at least three new features in the latest iOS version of software; Discover key tools in the health app, enable fall detection, adjust safety settings, and use Screen Time and wellness features to support daily activities; Practice using Apple Maps, the Translate app, and Apple Wallet and apply these tools to improve parking, navigation, and real-time travel alerts in day-to-day activities; Explore and use at least three camera modes and two editing tools, organize albums, use iCloud Photos and Airdrop to manage media, and share photos; Manage Mail settings to block spam and organize your inbox; customize at least two contact groups and explore group messaging features to enhance communication.

Note: This course designed for senior citizens aims to empower seniors to understand the latest iOS updates and AI changes. Note: Attendance in online class sessions Thursdays from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. is mandatory for section 901.
