Tiffany Style-Stained Glass: Design, Techniques, and Marketing | Explore the fundamentals and advanced techniques of Tiffany-style stained glass production using the copper foil method. Learn the proper use of tools, pattern design, assembly and soldering of art pieces, as well as finishing and presentation techniques. Study guidelines for pricing and identifying marketing outlets for stained glass artwork. Level-appropriate projects will be completed in class. Note: Supply list will be provided in class. Senior Cycle class. Students must be 55 or older by start date to enroll.Learner Outcomes
Demonstrate proper techniques for scoring, breaking, and grinding decorative glass, using safety protocols and designated tools; Create a stained-glass project from a provided pattern that results in a structurally sound final piece; Assemble a foiled stained-glass project using the copper foil method and appropriate soldering tools; Identify at least three viable marketing platforms for selling completed stained-glass pieces; List and describe basic marketing methods for displaying and pricing stained-glass art.Loading...
