Course Description
Intermediate MIG Welding Certified Training | Prepare material and perform fillet and groove welds in carbon steel in all positions. Practice geared toward structural welding code vertical and overhead tests. Passing the certification tests provides an all-position limited thickness AWS D1.1 welder certification. CEUs and Earlbeck Certificate of Completion issued. $2,750 includes $2,210 fee. Prerequisite: OPT-394 or CIT-325 Fundamentals of Welding Certified Training or permission of instructor. Note: Fire-retardant pants, shirt, hard-toe boots and safety goggles required. Bring welding gear to class.Learner Outcomes
Perform safety inspections of welding equipment and accessories; Organize welding equipment and materials for various welding processes; Demonstrate fillet welds in all positions on carbon steel material; Demonstrate groove welds in all positions on steel material; Perform 3G and 4G positions on 3/8" plate for the welders certification test.Notices

Registration for CIT-327 requires successful completion of OPT-394/CIT-325: Fundamentals of Welding Certified Training, OCC-344/CIT-334: Welding for Work: Stick, OCC-345/CIT-335: Welding for Work: - MIG, OCC-346/ CIT-336: Welding for Work: - TIG, or permission of instructor.
