Course Description

Story Explorers | Dive into a different book each day, then bring the story to life through creative STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) projects. From building bridges inspired by fairy tales to designing rockets that match a space adventure, campers connect literacy and learning in a fun, engaging way. Perfect for curious minds who love to read, build and explore! Note: This is a Kids in College course. Check section notes for age requirements.

Learner Outcomes

Develop a love for reading and storytelling by exploring new books and characters each day; Explore real-world STEAM concepts inspired by story themes through interactive, hands-on projects; Create innovative designs, experiments, and artistic works that connect imagination with problem-solving; Strengthen teamwork, communication, and critical-thinking skills through collaborative story-based challenges; Encourage curiosity and confidence by linking literacy with discovery, design, and creativity.

Notices

If your child cannot attend a course or camp, a course drop form must be completed, submitted and received by the college no later than seven calendar days prior to the course or camp start date in order for a refund to be issued. Completed course drop forms can be submitted by fax (410-777-4325), mail, online through the noncredit registration site or in-person at one of our registration sites. Drop forms not received within the time period required above will be processed, but no refund will be issued.
