Course Description

Beginning Spanish-Level 1 | Explore Spanish through grammar, pronunciation and conversation. Build vocabulary, enjoy cultural insights and connect with others through engaging discussions and light reading and writing. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.

Learner Outcomes

Examine and practice twenty ER and IR verb forms in the present tense; Identify thirty new vocabulary words and use them in a sentence and common phrases; Recognize and recite numbers zero to thirty-one and use them to communicate about a date or an appointment; Describe two traditions celebrated in a Spanish speaking country.
