Course Description
Welding for Work: MIG | Learn the processes for oxy-fuel, gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc and shielded metal arc welding through hands-on instruction. Prepare to perform fillet and groove welds in carbon steel in all positions. Passing the certification test provides AWS D1.1 welder certification. CEUs and Earlbeck certificate of completion issued. $4,251 includes $3,411 fee. Note: Must be 18 or older to enroll. Fire-retardant pants, shirt, hard-toe boots and safety goggles required. Bring GMAW (gas metal arc welding) workbook and welding gear to class.Learner Outcomes
Demonstrate appropriate welding safety practices with equipment, tools and materials; Interpret basic welding symbols and codes, and differentiate between the metallurgy of common metal alloys; Demonstrate groove welds in all positions on carbon steel material; Perform 3G and 4G positions on a 3/8" plate for AWS certification test.Notices
