Course Description

Women Writers and Films: From Books to Hollywood | Explore the biographies of women from who have authored books that were made into movies. Examine the political, cultural, moral, gender and socio-economic factors of the time-period. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.

Describe the scope of topics of movies based on books written by women; Identify notable women who have authored books that were made into movies; Explore the life and times of these notable women; List factors related to the books publishing and making of the film.
