Course Description

Supporting the Disabled Veteran Student This workshop presents an overview of the common health challenges of a Veteran student, including the impact of combat stress and injuries. Topics include a description of the common indicators of both visible and invisible service-connected disabilities, and discuss teaching and classroom management strategies to help Veteran students adjust to the college environment and student experience. Additionally, participants also look at college and community health/wellness resources for Veteran students.
