Course Description

Identify the different types of images used in digital content and their specific roles in terms of accessibility. Examine the function of decorative images and the criteria for when they can be considered purely decorative. Apply guidelines for writing effective alternative text that conveys the content and function of images. Create accessible digital content that includes images with well-crafted alternative text.  Identify the significance of descriptive links and how they aid in navigation and comprehension for all users, including those with visual impairments. Evaluate the accessibility of links and images in digital documents using automated tools and manually. This workshop provides foundational knowledge on making digital images accessible to all users.
