Course Description

Examine the new assessment tool presented during the Summer Institute by the LOA subcommittee that helps faculty members evaluate the assignments in their classes and determine if those assignments actually serve the purpose for which they are intended. Participants are reintroduced to the tool while presenters facilitate faculty members use of the tool, to allow them to evaluate assignments mapped to learning outcomes before disseminating those assignments to students. Identify which assignments should be mapped to the student outcomes specific to the respective courses they are teaching. Use the rubric to evaluate assignments and offer feedback for improvement if necessary. Recognize the various levels that are included in the assessment (goals, objectives, as well as outcomes). This workshop is part 4 of 4 for the Learning Outcomes Assess Master Digital Badge.
