Course Description

Belonging by Design: Creating Spaces for Student Voice, Engagement, and Success | Explore how higher education professionals can intentionally create environments that foster belonging, engagement, and holistic student success, particularly for historically marginalized student populations. Drawing from the work of Cross-Cultural Student Services and the Black Male Institute (BMI) at Anne Arundel Community College, engage in discussions around culturally responsive programming, relationship-centered support, embedded student engagement strategies, and the importance of authentic connection in student retention and persistence. Leave with practical strategies and reflective tools that can be implemented within their own institutional contexts to strengthen community and student outcomes.
