Course Description
The Student Success Champion Facilitator training is designed to prepare faculty and staff to facilitate workshops within the Student Success Champion Certificate Series. Please note, eligibility for this training requires successful completion of the Student Success Champion Certificate Series. This ensures that all facilitator trainees have a strong foundation in the core concepts, practices, and values that guide the program. This workshop builds directly on the knowledge, skills, and experiences gained through the series and equips participants to lead engaging, student-centered professional development experiences grounded in belonging, equity, and student success. Through a structured and experiential training process, participants engage in co-facilitation, guided practice, observation, and reflective feedback. This approach allows trainees to develop confidence and competence in leading workshops while receiving real-time support and coaching. Emphasis is placed on creating meaningful learning experiences that center participant voice, encourage dialogue, and promote active engagement. Learning Outcomes: facilitate interactive, student-centered workshops within the Student Success Champion Certificate Series, model inclusive, equity-minded practices in teaching and engagement, guide participants in applying strategies that support the whole student and foster meaningful dialogue, reflection, and collaboration among colleagues.
