Course Description
Welding for Work: TIG | Learn the processes for oxy-fuel, gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc and shielded metal arc welding through hands-on instruction. Prepare material and perform flat, horizontal and vertical welds and flat groove welds in carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Passing the certification test provides AWS D9.1 welder certification. CEUs and Earlbeck Certificate of Completion issued. $4,251 includes $3,411 fee. Note: Must be 18 or older to enroll. Fire-retardant pants, shirt, hard-toe boots and safety goggles required. Bring gas tungsten arc welding workbook and welding gear to class.Learner Outcomes
Demonstrate appropriate welding safety practices with equipment, tools and materials; Interpret basic welding symbols and codes and differentiate between metallurgy, of common metal alloys; Perform fillet and groove welds on steel, aluminum and stainless steel with oxy-fuel and plasma cutting equipment; Perform AWS D9.1 certification plates on various materials.Notices
