Course Description
Intermediate STICK Welding Certified Training | Prepare material and perform fillet and groove welds in carbon steel using E7018 electrodes in all positions. Geared toward structural welding code vertical and overhead tests. Passing the certification tests provides an all-position limited thickness AWS D1.1 welder certification. CEUs and Earlbeck Certificate of Completion issued. $2,750 includes $2,210 fee. Prerequisite: OPT-394 or CIT-325 Fundamentals of Welding Certified Training, OCC-344 or CIT-334 Welding for Work: Stick, or permission of instructor. Note: Fire-retardant pants, shirt, hard-toe boots and safety goggles required. Bring welding gear to class.Learner Outcomes
Perform safety inspections of STICK welding equipment and accessories; Demonstrate how to align welding machines to proper polarities and amperage settings; Demonstrate fillet and groove welds in all positions on carbon steel material; Perform AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code-Steel welder certification test coupons in 3G and 4G position on 3/8" plate.Notices
