Course Description

Cook Dim Sum | Learn to prepare a variety of popular dim sum dishes, small bite-size portions of food served in small steamer baskets or on small plates that will impress family and friends. $76+ includes $34 fee. Note: Students must wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.

Learner Outcomes

Identify ingredients used in dim sum; Recognize the importance of mise en place, getting ingredients together; Demonstrate the safe usage of professional kitchen hand tools and utensils; Demonstrate proper kitchen safety and sanitation procedures; Apply proper technique for preparing and cooking the recipes; Demonstrate proper understanding of appropriate cooking methods; Critique the recipes you prepared in class.
