Course Description

CompTIA Security+ Certification Exam Prep | Prepare for the CompTIA Security+ exam, including review of network security, compliance and operational security, threats and vulnerabilities, application, data and host security, access control, and identity management and cryptography. Course materials are included. CEUs issued. $1,653 includes $508 fee. Prerequisite: Knowledge of operating systems and hardware and/or CompTIA A+, basic networking concepts, and/or CompTIA Network+. Note: Exam voucher included. Once registered, if you cannot attend the course, a course drop form must be completed, submitted and received by the college no later than five calendar days prior to the course start date in order for a refund to be issued. Submit completed drop forms by fax (410-777-4325), by mail or online through the noncredit registration site or in person at a registration site. Drop forms not received within the time frame listed above will not be processed; no refund will be issued.

Learner Outcomes

Develop skills and knoledge necessary to successfully complete the CompTIA Security+ certification exam; Explain basic concepts of network security; Anaylze and assess threats and vulnerabilities for information and information systems; Identify and provide examples of operational security concerns; Evaluate hardware and software solutions for access control and identify management.
