Course Description

Professional Animal Worker | Explore working in shelters and kennels, veterinary offices and hospitals, doggie day care centers, independent pet and grooming shops, and retail pet stores. CEUs isued. $610 includes $10 fee.

Learner Outcomes

  • Demonstrate general knowledge of instruction regarding feeding, bathing, and exercising animals, cleaning and disinfecting cages, kennels, and examination and operation rooms;
  • Demonstrate procedures restraining animals during examination, laboratory procedure, and maintaining and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment;
  • Select appropriate monitoring and caring for animals after surgery, and helping to provide emergency first aid to sick and injured animals;
  • Identify workforce success skills for professional animal workers.
