Course Description

Clothing 2: Design, Sew and Sell | Hone skills on the design, sewing and selling of clothing apparel. Explore sewing techniques, garment construction, pattern manipulations, and layout, cutting, and marketing techniques used to sell finished products. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.

Learner Outcomes

Construct various tailored garments using advanced sewing techniques; Implement advanced pattern manipulations and alterations; Use advanced layout and cutting techniques; Demonstrate various methods of advertising, displaying and pricing merchandise; Determine ways to increase sales by using appropriate marketing techniques.
