Course Description
Personal Wedding Flowers | Learn to create bouquets for brides, coordinating corsages and boutonnieres, including a cascading bridal bouquet that reflects current trends. Examine the construction mechanics, suitable flowers and foliage, and techniques to maximize bouquet freshness and longevity. Take home at least one arrangement each session. $310+ includes $155 fee. Note: FLR-343 Foundations of Floral Design recommended. Students must bring a floral knife or sharp pocketknife, pruning shears, wire cutters and ribbon scissors. Note: If you cannot attend, a course drop form must be completed, submitted and received by the college no later than seven calendar days prior to the course start date in order for a refund to be issued. Completed course drop forms can be submitted by fax (410-777-4325), mail, online through the noncredit registration site or in-person at one of our registration sites.Learner Outcomes
Demonstrate the ability to adapt basic wedding floral designs to clients specification; Identify the various styles of bouquets and evaluate the best mechanics, flower selection, foliage, and botanical materials for each; Evaluate purchase costs and pricing factors when developing wedding floral designs; Demonstrate the floral industry techniques to securely package a bridal bouquet for delivery; Create two bridal bouquets, a corsage, and a boutonniere.Notices
