Course Description

Beginning German 1 | Explore basic German grammar, vocabulary and conversation skills. Communicate in group discussions using a question-and-answer format. Textbook information available at AACC Bookstore. CEUs issued. $183 includes $10 fee. Note: LAN-331 Basic German or previous German instruction recommended.

Learner Outcomes

Practice basic Gerrman pronunciation and the vocabulary used to communicate in restaurants, on telephone calls, and in greetings; Review the present tense and use it in descriptive sentences; Define nicht and kein, differentiate the use of each one and use the correct term in simple sentences; Recognize and use the imperative, akkusativ, and dative in sentences; Demonstrate how to use all vocabulary words in a simple question and answer session through recitation and conversation.
