Course Description

Beginning French 1 | Acquire the basics of French grammar, pronunciation, phrases and vocabulary. Recognize the gender of nouns, adjectives, positions and agreement, asking and answering questions in order to be able to greet people, obtain directions and order meals. Textbook information available at AACC Bookstore. CEUs issued. $183 includes $10 fee.

Learner Outcomes

Demonstrate the ability to speak simple phrases and sentences in French; Examine the Present tense, Immediate Future and Immediate Past verb conjugations; Apply the grammatical rules of the French language through verbal and written communication; Identify the most commonly used nouns, gender, and plurals while building vocabulary; Discuss the cultural characteristics of France.
