Course Description

Beginning French | Learn basic French vocabulary and grammar. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.

Learner Outcomes

Evaluate French pronunciation and speak basic phrases and simple sentences in French; Identify the most commonly used nouns, gender, plurals and definite/indefinite articles and verbs; Develop an appreciation for French culture and civilization; Identify and understand the meaning of expressions particular to certain regions of France; Demonstrate the ability to read and understand French language concepts and idioms.
