Course Description

Mexican Medley Discover the secrets of cooking authentic Mexican food. Experience the nuances of traditional Mexican ingredients, flavors and cooking methods. Prepare all the elements of a traditional meal. $85+ includes $40 fee. Note: Students are required to wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.

Learner Outcomes

Identify ingredients used in Mexican cuisine; Recognize the importance of mise en place, getting ingredients together, being prepared; Demonstrate the safe usage of professional kitchen hand tools and utensils; Demonstrate proper kitchen safety and sanitation procedures; Produce assorted Mexican recipes; Apply traditional culinary techniques in the preparation of classic Mexican food.
