Course Description

Very Berry Desserts | Indulge yourself with the very best of summer’s bounty with these delicious berry desserts. Learn how to select and incorporate fresh berries into assorted seasonal cobblers, pies, tarts and other preparations. $76+ includes $34 fee. Note: Students must wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.

Learner Outcomes

Identify ingredients and special techniques used in fresh berry desserts; Recognize the importance of mise en place, getting ingredients together, being prepared; Demonstrate the safe usage of professional kitchen hand tools and utensils; Demonstrate proper kitchen safety and sanitation procedures; Apply traditional culinary techniques in the preparation of desserts; Produce assorted baked goods.
