Course Description

Apple Pages for Beginners: iPad and Mac Computer | Explore the basics of using Apple’s word processing software, Pages, to create stunning professional documents on an iPad or Mac. Get comfortable with the basic tools and features of the software and progress to creating, editing and formatting text using Apple-designed templates or your own designs. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 or older by start date to enroll in this class.

Learner Outcomes

Identify three features available on the latest iOS software version for Apple Pages and describe their word processing capabilities; Use the Scribble feature for iPadOS to write handwritten words that turn to typed text and list three benefits for day-to day tasks; Customize paper size, page orientation, margins settings and create two graphic designs using the template feature; Save, share, and export two or more files in Microsoft Word, RTF, TXT and PDF formats.
