Course Description

Pool/Spa Operation | Gain the knowledge and skills needed to take the pool and spa operator's certification exam and run a facility. Learn about regulations, maintenance, filter systems, chemicals and forms. CEUs issued. $175 includes $145 fee. Note: Online course meets the active Maryland’s Public Swimming Pool Regulations as designated by the Maryland State Department of Health to obtain for Pool Operator license. Offered in partnership with Aquatic Training & Consulting Service LLC. Students will be contacted after registering with instructions on how to digitally access the course and required course materials. 

Learner Outcomes

Identify the basic do's and don'ts of swimming pool operation; Identify the five factors of water balance in swimming pools; Define the different types of diseases that can be transmitted through pools and spas; Recognize how to understand the difference between stable and unstable chlorine; Develop an understanding of possible damage that high mineral content can cause to a pool and how to prevent this from happening.
