Herbs: Growing and Using Herbs, Culinary and Crafting | Learn herb basics. Explore techniques to have herbs thriving in your landscape, whether its a planned herb garden, an existing garden or a simple container of herbs. Discover the fun and practical sides of growing and using herbs. $65+ includes $10 fee.

Learner Outcomes

Examine the history of herbs and their medicinal value; Determine the best environment conditions to grow and maintain herb plants; Define vocabulary about herbs and identify the difference between woody herbs and fleshly herbs;  Understand how to prune herbs, benefits and common mistakes when pruning; Learn about preserving herbs by drying and freezing methods; Discover and share recipes for culinary uses of herbs; Explore crafting with herbs and plan simple ways to use multiple herbs; Identify how pollinators use herbs, and how herbs fit into a greater ecosystem.
