Course Description

So Simple Sewing: Quilting | Build upon acquired sewing skills and learn how to create a quilting project using a sewing machine. Practice measuring, cutting and pattern matching. Complete one project in class to take home. $102+ includes $30 fee. Prerequisite: WMI-336; or permission of instructor.  Note: This class will construct a seasonal quilted table runner. Supplies provided.

Learner Outcomes

Review sewing machine safety and best practices for threading the sewing machine; Discuss fabric choice for quilting; Measure, mark and cut fabric pieces and demonstrate safe use of rotary cutters; Explain piecing techniques and pinning techniques; Construct and complete the quilting project.
