Course Description

Master design essentials using Canva.  Learn foundations, elements, principles, and composition techniques for print, online, and video projects. Ideal for beginners and those refining artistic skills, this course blends hands-on practice with art theory to create visually appealing and impactful designs, bringing your vision to life. Note: Students must have access to CANVA account to complete the assignments. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.

Learner Outcomes

Identify and apply the five elements of design in three different design projects; Utilize principles of design to create two cohesive and compelling compositions; Develop and implement design concepts for flyers, brochure, and poster print materials; Create two digital design and video projects tailored for social media and online platforms; Critically evaluate and refine two designs using established artistic guidelines and feedback.
