Course Description

Yiddish Theatre | Examine the evolution of Yiddish Theatre, how it grew from Purim plays and wedding jesters. Explore the father of Yiddish Theatre, Avrom Goldfaden; the Jewish Shakespeare, Jacob Gordin; and Yiddish theatre in New York City, the Catskills and the Poconos. $23 includes $22 fee. Note: Requires membership in Peer Learning Partnership (PLP). Biannual membership is $30.
