Course Description
Intermediate GTAW (TIG) Welding Certified Training | Gain skills in the gas tungsten arc process. Prepare material and perform flat, horizontal and vertical fillet welds and flat groove welds in carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Geared toward AWS D17.1 specification for fusion welding for aerospace applications. Passing the certification tests qualifies students for AWS D17.1 in up to a 3G/4G position for aerospace code for carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum certification. CEUs and Earlbeck Certificate of Completion issued. $3,285 includes $2,638 fee. Prerequisite: Fundamentals of Welding (CIT-351) or permission of instructor. Note: Must be 18 or older to enroll. Bring welding gear issued at first class. Denim jeans, long-sleeve cotton shirt and hard-toe boots must be worn in class.Learner Outcomes
