Course Description
The Security Operations Center (SOC) Operations Analyst I (SOCOA I) Certification is an Industry Recognized Credential (IRC) and prepares learners for entry-level positions in Security Operations Centers (SOCs). Through a combination of technical instruction and immersive, hands-on experience, participants build the real-world skills employers are looking for — from threat analysis and enterprise security to live incident response. This training and certification includes 40 hours of asynchronous training on foundational cybersecurity instruction focused on enterprise governance, threat analysis, networking, Linux command line and attacker behavior and 8 hours of hands-on exercises on the BCR Cyber Series 3000 Cyber Range where participants detect, mitigate and remediate simulated attacks. This course concludes with the certification exam to measure technical and operational proficiency. Note: To register in this course approval must be granted. Identify social engineering techniques and practice organizational security through organizational policies and plan user training; Assess the security posture of an enterprise environment and recommend and implement appropriate security solutions; Secure operating systems and network devices; Identify potential security attacks and set up defenses; Configure network devices using basic command line interfaces; Support network communications which leverage encryption and address specific use cases of commonly used protocols; Monitor network activity, analyze suspicious activity, generate alerting rules and preserve forensic evidence.Notices
