Course Description

Pre-Apprenticeship HVAC Training Part A | Learn entry-level HVAC skills. Discover job site safety concepts. Learn the proper hand tools for each job. Understand algebra and geometry calculations for HVAC installation. Obtain OSHA-30 General Construction and CPR/First Aid certifications. CEUs issued. $2,063 includes $863 fee. Corequisites: CIT-308 Pre-Apprenticeship HVAC Training Part B and NRN-332 Heartsaver CPR/First Aid. Note: Must be 18 or older to enroll.  Cost includes instruction, textbook and supplies. There is an additional cost for NRN-332, HeartSaver CPR/First Aid.

Explain the basics of heating cycles including installation and maintenance procedures; Solve basic measurement, algebra, and geometry calculations necessary for HVAC installation and maintenance; Define electrical terms and electrical theories applied to heating and air conditioning; Identify the components and procedures for installation and service of several types of furnaces; Explain the basic refrigeration cycle and its components;
