Course Description

Pre-Apprenticeship HVAC Training Part B | Learn entry-level HVAC skills. Examine air movement and its measurement in air distribution systems. Explore types of steel pipe and fittings. Demonstrate procedures for soldering copper tubing. Employ mathematic calculations including geometric principles and algebraic processes to estimate, OSHA 30 certification, measure and lay out materials. CEUs issued. $1,230 includes $230 fee. Corequisites: CIT-307 Pre-Apprenticeship HVAC Training Part A and NRN-332 Heartsaver CPR/First Aid. Note: Must be 18 or older to enroll.  Cost includes instruction, textbook and supplies. There is an additional cost for NRN-332, HeartSaver CPR/First Aid.

Describe the factors related to air movement and it's measurement in common air distribution systems; Identify and describe the usage of different types of copper tubing and related fittings; Describe and demonstrate safe procedures for soldering copper tubing; Describe and identify the various types of steel pipe and fittings; Employ mathematic calculations including basic operations, geometric principles, and algebraic processes to estimate, measure, and layout materials in both the classroom and laboratory environment;
