Course Description

Beginning French 2 for Senior Adults | Continue building your French skills. Strengthen grammar, expand vocabulary and gain confidence forming questions and responses. Learn useful idiomatic expressions and conversational phrases for real-life situations. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.

Learner Outcomes

Demonstrate an understanding of the five structural elements of the French language; Review the present tense and demonstrate proficiency in using the passé composé, imparfait, future, and conditional tenses in spoken exercises; Apply two grammatical rules of the French language through verbal and written expression; Practice and recite 20 or more simple sentences in French related to everyday topics and personal routines; Explore and describe at least three key cultural aspects of France and discuss holiday traditions.
