Course Description

Basic German | Discover the basic vocabulary and essentials of the German language in a welcoming, interactive setting designed for adult learners. Explore greetings, pronunciation and practical vocabulary through group discussions. No prior experience or textbook required. $103 includes $10 fee.

Learner Outcomes

Demonstrate the ability to articulate at least 10 basic German greetings and common questions through structured role-playing exercises; Identify and use a minimum of 30 German vocabulary words related to locations, food, and directions in both written and spoken activities; Improve pronunciation skills by correctly repeating and responding to at least 10 common German commands during guided classroom drills; Initiate and sustain a basic German conversation using simple questions and answers in a peer-to-peer dialogue; Describe at least two German cultural customs and explain their influence on contemporary global culture.
