Course Description

Intermediate French for Senior Adults | Build foundational skills, deepening your understanding of grammar, vocabulary and sentence structure. Emphasis will be placed on speaking and listening. Prerequisite: Beginning French or two years of prior study. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.

Learner Outcomes

Identify and explain five key structural elements of the French language; Apply ten grammatical rules of the French language through oral and written exercises, demonstrating improved accuracy and fluency; Compose five complete sentences and one short paragraph in response to prompts, using expanded French vocabulary and grammar; Apply French language skills in three real-life scenarios such as ordering food and introductions.
