Course Description

Mind Games, Cranium Crunches and Brain Builders | Designed for senior adults, this engaging class explores risk factors for memory loss and dementia. Enjoy brain-building games and activities in a relaxed group setting while learning strategies to support cognitive health. Develop a personal plan to reduce dementia risks and boost memory, attention, reasoning, and more while having fun! Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 years or older by start date in order to enroll in this class.

Learner Outcomes

Explain dementia and its global public health impact; Recognize and list the twelve modifiable risk factors linked to dementia; Discuss three key factors that may delay or prevent cognitive decline; Participate in five or more memory games that support cognitive function; Create a personal plan to reduce dementia risk in daily life.
