A Peoples History of the United States: A Respectful, Nonpartisan Discussion of How Our Past Has Led to the Present | Howard Zinns A Peoples History of the United States, tells a side of history different from the traditional glorification of country. Openly discuss the contributions, exploitation and impact of immigrant laborers, the working poor, Native Americans, African Americans and women on the history of the United States and how their struggles have shaped modern America. $33 includes $32 fee. Note: Requires membership in Peer Learning Partnership (PLP).

Learner Outcomes

Explore views of U.S. history that may not have been covered in school; Analyze how the struggles of African Americans, Native Americans, immigrants, women, and the working poor resulted in safer working conditions, workers compensation, voting rights, and anti-discrimination laws and policies; Explain how selected movements have influenced todays political, cultural, and economic landscapes.
