Course Description

Intermediate Spanish for Senior Adults | Continue improving your Spanish language skills. Strengthen your vocabulary, explore regular and irregular verbs, and gain confidence with compound and subjunctive tenses. Enjoy engaging conversation practice that brings the Spanish language to life. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 or older by start date in order to enroll.

Learner Outcomes

Construct at least 10 simple Spanish sentences and begin forming complex sentences using conjunctions and transitional phrases; Demonstrate comprehension of the noun-adjective agreement, verb conjugation patterns, and sentence order structural elements of Spanish through grammar exercises; Use regular and irregular verbs, compound tenses, and basic subjunctive forms in both spoken and written Spanish during at least three structured dialogue or writing activities; Identify and discuss at least five cultural traditions, customs, or values from Spanish-speaking countries, using expanded vocabulary and basic conversational Spanish in class.
