Course Description

Advanced Spanish for Senior Adults | Expand the ability to express yourself in Spanish. Strengthen speaking and writing skills through engaging practice and personalized instruction. Focus on using appropriate vocabulary and applying grammar principles accurately. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 by start date in order to enroll.

Learner Outcomes

Explain and define ten advanced Spanish idioms and language concepts that include cultural context; Articulate five advanced idiomatic expressions into everyday Spanish conversation through role-play and class dialogue; Use correct verb forms, compound tenses, and variations in numbers, person and tense in both spoken and written Spanish during at least three structured dialogues or writing activities; Demonstrate skills in language comprehension while discussing Spanish culture and at least five cultural traditions, customs, or values from Spanish-speaking countries.
