Course Description

Design, Marketing and the Art of Wildfowl Carving | Learn how to design, produce and market completed wildfowl carvings. Explore the techniques of carved and painted wildfowl carvings and business as well as market strategies. Note: Instructor provides orientation, including safety procedures, before class starts. Students must provide most of the course supplies and equipment. Note: Senior Cycle fee class. Students must be 55 or older by start date to enroll in this class.

Learner Outcomes

Describe and explain art as it applies to specific carving projects; Explain the principles, procedures and techniques of wildfowl carving and painting; Discuss how to develop a marketing strategy for selling wildfowl carvings; Demonstrate an understanding of entrepreneurial principles.
