Course Description

Essential Construction Math | Develop math skills applicable to the construction trade. Learn about calculations, measurements and conversions common to the construction industry. CEUs issued. $584 includes $475 fee, including textbook. Note: Online, self-paced course. Must be 18 or older to enroll. If you cannot attend, a course drop form must be completed, submitted and received by the college no later than 10 calendar days prior to the course start date for a refund to be issued. Completed course drop forms can be submitted by fax (410-777-4325), mail, online through the noncredit registration site or in person at one of our registration sites. Offered in partnership with Construction Experts Inc.

Learner Outcomes

Use and understand all operations on fractions and decimals that are common to the construction industry; Understand and be able to calculate area, and volume of various shapes; Convert measurements from cubic feet to cubic yards; Calculate and measure basic constructions in wood and concrete; Measure the volume of concrete footings, slabs, walls, and columns.
