Course Description

Estimating and Bidding 1 | Explore hands-on estimating and quantity take-off activities associated with general conditions, site work, concrete and formwork, and masonry estimating. CEUs issued. $584 includes $475 fee, textbook included. Prerequisites: STR-500 Introduction to Construction Estimating and Construction Blueprint Reading (STR-502). Note: Online, paced course. Must be 18 or older to enroll. If you cannot attend, a course drop form must be completed, submitted and received by the college no later than 10 calendar days prior to the course start date for a refund to be issued. Completed course drop forms can be submitted by fax (410-777-4325), mail, online through the noncredit registration site or in person at one of our registration sites. Offered in partnership with Construction Experts Inc.

Learner Outcomes

Estimate the cost of general conditions. Prepare quantity take offs of excavation, backfill, masonry, concrete and formwork. Utilize unit prices to prepare an estimate.
